Monkton Volunteer Emergency Medical Services (MVEMS) is a community-based, volunteer-driven organization providing emergency medical care and support to Monkton and surrounding areas of northern Baltimore County. Our dedicated members respond 24/7 to medical emergencies, vehicle collisions, and community incidents—delivering skilled, compassionate care when it’s needed most.
Since our founding, our mission has remained simple: to protect and serve our neighbors with professionalism, integrity, and heart. What began as a small group of local volunteers has grown into a well-trained team supported by modern apparatus, advanced medical equipment, and a deep sense of purpose rooted in community service.

The story of Monkton Volunteer Emergency Medical Services is one of community, commitment, and evolution. What began as a small group of volunteers responding to medical calls with limited resources has grown into a modern EMS organization serving the Monkton area and surrounding communities with professionalism and compassion.
Over the decades, Monkton EMS has adapted to new technology, expanded its fleet, and strengthened its training programs—all while staying true to the volunteer spirit that defines us. From our earliest days to today, we’ve remained dedicated to one mission: providing lifesaving care and support to our neighbors when they need it most.
